Magnesium benefits for the skin and body

Magnesium is a highly important and highly abundant mineral in the human body. Most of it is found in our bones, but it’s in our soft tissues, including skin and muscles, and our blood.

Every single cell in your body needs magnesium. As such, it’s one of the most plentiful minerals we have. It’s responsible for over 600 different reactions in our body, from converting food into energy to regulating our nervous system and muscular movements.

Yet despite how important magnesium is for us and how most people have ample amounts, some of us aren’t taking in enough. Lower levels of magnesium can be associated with various reasons, including chronic stress, poor digestion and hormonal fluctuation.

Offers pain relief

Magnesium is a natural pain reliever. Partly because of its anti-inflammatory powers, it helps to alleviate pain systemically. Beyond this, it helps muscle recovery from overuse, particularly from sports injuries and exercise fatigue. Magnesium is so important in your soft tissues.

Alleviates muscle cramps and restless leg

Rubbing it into calves to prevent nighttime muscle cramps and spasms.

Helps PMS symptoms

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and managing the cyclical issues brought about by your menstrual cycle often feature highly in women’s chosen beauty and wellness routines. Magnesium could be an important part of this. Not only does magnesium improve your mood, it has been shown to help with water retention and abdominal cramps.

It’s calming

As well as easing low mood, magnesium is sometimes known as the sleep mineral. This is because it helps to alleviate muscle tension and daily stress, and can help to lull you into a good sense of bodily wellbeing for sleep.

Menopause

Fluctuating hormones during the menopause can cause leg aches, cramps, swelling, restless leg, migraines, anxiety and more … and all of this can lead to trouble sleeping, By exercising, ensuring good circulation to our lower extremities, a good intake of water and a well-rounded diet, we can minimise menopause leg issues.

Sometimes, a magnesium deficiency lies at the heart of the issue.
Magnesium is absorbed more efficiently through the skin than orally and combined with enriching butters and organic lavender oil can offer a restful nights sleep and reduce muscle cramps and pain,

Testimonials

Discovering the magnesium cream has been a revelation - brilliant for a restful nights sleep! Jane Burchfield

I really love Solstis magnesium cream and make it part of my evening routine as I have found it really eases aches and restless legs so I’m able to sleep better. I also love the magnesium & lavender bath bomb, my bathroom smelt like a luxurious spa & the bath felt gently moisturising and left my skin feeling soft, SO relaxing. There are so many gorgeous products that make you feel great on the inside and out , beautifully made with love and make such thoughtful gifts , couldn’t recommend Solstis highly enough - Judy Eco Yoga

Your magnesium cream is awesome. It's really helped improve my quality of sleep. Massive thank you for that! - Ruth Jones

I Brought the magnesium cream as I know I'm naturally low in magnesium and supplements just aren't enough, I had previously been using a spray but this is so much nicer, and leaves my skin so soft, I had a long chat with Faye and it is clear that so much love and thought goes into all the products that she and her husband make. I am looking forward to using my bath bomb next and to purchasing more products in the future! - Tania Stevens

I purchased
the magnesium cream with lavender in order to help my broken sleep patterns,
one of the many joys of menopause! It was suggested that I rub a little cream
on the soles of my feet at bedtime; I have been using the cream for several
nights, and as well as the smell being amazing, I have to say, I have enjoyed
my night’s rest too! I must admit I do forget to use it some nights, but I
think that is also menopause brain. A little goes a long way, but I will
definitely be purchasing this again once my jar has finished.- Lisa Alderson
